THE GUARDIAN
Standing Seam Metal Roofing Process
What's next? Once you have selected your color and material, your roofing coordinator will schedule next steps. It may be a final confirmation measurement of your property, or it might be ready for installation.
On the first day of installation, your roofing crew will arrive early for the tear-off and removal of the existing roof. The crew typically arrives around sunrise and will work until the tear-off and dry-in is completed or daylight ends. It's at this point that the deck inspection and any necessary repairs take place. This is also the noisiest part of the process. If you work from home, have small children who nap, or pets who are easily startled by noises, plan accordingly for this day.
The following days will be spent with the metal craftsmen roll-forming on-site the roofing panels and assembling your new My Guardian standing seam metal roof system. Depending on the size and complexity it may take several days or a week to complete the work. The team will work to keep your property protected from falling debris and nails/screws and kept tidy from debris.
Once the roof is completed, a local building inspector will be by to inspect the installation and sign off on the permit. You are welcome to be there when the official visits but it is not a requirement.
